Title: Known issue with 6-node triangular elements!!
Post by: Roozbeh on June 13, 2023, 02:02:10 pm
Dear Users,

Unfortunately, there is a problem with the way the 6-node triangular mesh interacts with the beam element. Additionally, I encountered a significant problem with lumped mass calculation during the explicit time integration phase of the dynamic analysis module implementation. To cut a long tale short, I have chosen to replace this element (6-node triangular) with a quadrilateral mesh, a process that is already underway. Once the in-house mesh generator is finished, this will work.

Please be mindful of this issue and exercise caution when using it, especially when working with the beam element.

To improve accuracy, you can still use the T3 element and activate the NMD technique. Calculations are still valid when beam element is not in the picture.
