Title: Program doesn't run [Solved]

Downloaded and installed without problems. However it does not run.
Restarted the computer, did not run.
Uninstalled and reinstalled: still does not run.

Any suggestions very welcome! (W7)

what windows version? 32 bit or 64 bit? .. please provide your system information so I will be able to recreate the scenario.

that's odd, I've tested that on multiple win10 64 machine. are you using any antivirus that might block application from running?

please go to the directory that you installed ADONIS right click on exe file and run as admin.

I use Kapersky antivirus, and I have already try to lunch the program with administrator statut ?!

Kapersky is very restricted. would you please go inside Kapersky's setting and confirm that ADONIS should be trusted and rerun it. since you are not getting any error message my guess is that your antivirus is still blocking it.
what if you turn off the antivirus and see what happens. if it does not work I might have to ask other users and see if they have the same issue.

I've turned off Kapersky and it still doesn't run. I'll try on another computer.

I have windows 7 (64 bit), Avast as anti virus and tried to run as admin but does not work. It does not run in compatibility mode with XP either. Running it from the desktop link or directly in the installation folder doesn't make any difference either. For short while the rotating circle that smth is happening appears but then it just stops and no program appears. So I am really at a loss.

Jaap,

from what I read from other forums Avast antivirus is blocking the Qt based program. please re-download the installer I made some changes to avoid antivirus/internet protector blocking. just to make sure please turn off Avast and run the program. based on type of problem I'm almost positive that your anti-virus or internet protector is blocking the program.

regarding windows xp and vista I need to do additional study to find the problem.

I have the same machine (win10-64bit) with Symantec AV, it works fine. based on what other developers are saying on different forums some antivirus/internet protectors are blocking the program and the only way to avoid that is to register the program inside the antivirus and make them to trust it.

Tried the new installer. Installed with Avast turned off and tried to run (normal, as admin, from link from installation folder, with compatibility checks). No luck, rather sad  :'(

in order to make sure that the problem is not from installation process a portable package has been created and put in the Download page. You just simply need to download it, unzip it and execute the application. no installation is required.

Note: as it's mentioned in the description at Download page, in order to use the portable program you need to install "Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013" beforehand since it's not coming with the portable package (as oppose to installer version). If you used the installer format previously perhaps it has already been installed in your machine if not please follow the link and install it.

hope the issue will go away but if you still experiencing the same problem please post it into the forum so we can figure it out together.

I've tried to install with portable link, and it still doesn't run. The antivirus is off and visual C++ installed. ?!

I've been trying to regenerate the same problem as you are having in order to be able to solve it but unfortunately no success so far. the fact that you are not getting any error message puzzles ma and makes it even more difficult to figure out the source of problem. anyway I'm still working on it and even contacted bunch of security firms about the problem.

my concern is that during installation or download some of the file might have been considered unfit an been blocked as I understood, there are some special cases that missing of some DLLs might cause program not to run. but I don't no if that's the case for you.

one way for us to rule out the AV theory is that you completely uninstall the antivirus for small period of time and install ADONIS and see what happens if still there is problem at least we know that antivirus has nothing to do with it. what do you think?

I apologize for the English by automatic translator. I too have the same problem with both the version to install it with the laptop. Antivirus antivirus 360 total disabled security and windows 10 pro 32 bit. The program does not wall and not from any indication of error.

i've tried v1.0.3 portable and works fine in windows 10, 64 bit and no antivirus. tomorrow i'll try it on windows 7.

I've tried with the last portable version: it seems to be OK ! It runs with Kapersky. Thank U. I'll make a feed back after comparaison with PLAXIS results.
