Title: Secure Download
Post by: Dale DME on May 16, 2024, 01:30:12 pm
Hi all,

It looks like there are a tonne of users and I am wanting to install, just checking if there has been any issues with the security of the file download.  I'm getting a message at download that the site isn't using a secure connection and that the file may have been tampered with.  It's a google chrome message not from McAfee.  Keen to hear good news.

Cheers

Dale

There is nothing wrong with files. The reason you are getting the message is that, compared to a regular http webpage, a https webpage is more secure which is not used here. Since I don't get paid for providing all of these open source programs, I don't want to pay the host provider's higher fees.

Hi Roozbeh,

Figured all would be ok, I haven't used a lot of free software so thanks for the reply, and thanks for providing this also.

Cheers

Dale

no complaints from other users yet. By the way, after seven years of developing software, I'm still the same poor engineer, so there shouldn't be any issues in that department if you're worried about being hacked :D.
