Sheet pile with strut(Read 3467 times)
Sheet pile with strut on: June 05, 2025, 02:24:20 am
Dear all,

thanks for the opensource work.
I am not a geotechnician by profession, so please excuse my naive pov.
Somebody told me that attached situation (sheet pile with strut) may be simulated based on the Limit Equilibrium Method (LME). If understood correctly this the approach taken with Hyrcan.
My question now is whether 1) the LME approach is possible and 2) whether one may carry it out using Hyrcan. Ifso I'd much appreciate hints on how to do that.

Best regards

Seb

Hi Seb,

I haven?t personally modeled a sheet pile with struts, but I?ve come across several papers that demonstrate how to do it (one example is shown below). Unfortunately, HYRCAN doesn?t support simulating sheet piles with struts?you can only use the buried pile element available in the program.
