Import dxf partial fail(Read 1613 times)
Import dxf partial fail on: October 19, 2024, 09:07:40 am
Hello,
I'm trying to import a dxf file into Hyrcan and, while the external boundary is correctly imported the rest of elements are not.
I also tried to import the same dxf file in ADONIS and it was imported correctly.
Where can the problem be? Find the file attached.

Thank you

Hi,

Unfortunately, I don't have AutoCAD to open the DXF file, but it seems like you might be saving it in a version older than 2010. Could you please save the DXF file in the 2010 version and try again? Let me know if you encounter the same issue.

In the meantime, I'll work on upgrading the module to support reading the latest DXF formats.

Hello,

Find attached the dxf version 2010.

After your comment I tried all the dxf versions.
2018, 2013, 2010 only the external boundary is loaded
2007, 2004, 2000 it is working correctly and the material polylines are loaded.

Thank you very much for your help

Giorgio

Thank you for the files. I've also fixed the bug in the new release (i.e. 2.0.17), and you should now be able to import some of the newer DXF files. While I haven't tested all versions, the original DXF file you provided can now be imported without any issues
