Releasing tieback tension(Read 14965 times)

Is there a way to cut/release or "untension" a pre-tensioned tieback? I wanted to see the impact of loss of tieback support on excavation.

Hi,

you can simply delete the segment (or the whole tieback) and rerun the model.

Thanks for the answer. I was looking for a scenario where the excavation progresses such as:
1. Excavate 1st level, install and tension 1st tieback
2. Same with 2nd level
3. Same with 3rd level
4. Final excavation to bottom
5. Lose tension in 2nd level tieback.

So, I do not think that would be the same as running the sequence and skipping 2nd tieback as you go down.
