I like the software, but I have questions, please help me:

Question:

1.) ¿Why "shear" and "bulk" in every constitutive model?

2.) Shear = young / (2*(1+poisson))   ?

3.) Bulk = young / (3*(1-2*poisson))   ?

Thanks.

thanks,

1) because I feel like that using shear and bulk modulus is more appropriate for soil/rock. but all these numbers are interchangeable to each-other as you mentioned in bullet points 2 and 3. so it's basically a personal preference from me. in the future I might be able to add the choice of using Young Modulus and Poisson's Ratio as well but right now I'm going to stick with shear and bulk modulus.

2) correct

3) correct
